Another important project in the Floor4Africa Programme. It's a 60sqm-big floor in a public primary school in Embu County, Kenya. This time our Junior Project Manager is representing women with experience in migration. Therefore, we're focused also on providing such a work opportunity to Ms Rael Wanja Mugo. She's a member of the local community in that part of Africa. As our JPM she's going to boost local development for the local community. She'll manage over "STAN FLOOR C16/20 AFRICA" implementation project in Kyenire Primary School in Mbeere North. Total cost of this project is only 1400 EUR + the cost of flip-flops for some children who come to school barefoot. Up to now, our great donors are based in Poland (Zbyszek, Piotr & Barbara), and in Germany (Gerog & Ingrid). Moreover, one of donors is Polish Foundation "Ludzkie Sprawy".
How it started
THE GOAL TO ACHIEVE: bringing rapid local development opportunities to rural community facing everyday challenges in Africa
Roman Mazur - Floor4Africa Programme Director, met Rael for the first time in 2018. It began research on women experiencing migrant crisis.
We really like small schools in small villages. Local communities in the most challenging areas are our great partners in the real-world change
Inclusive education does mean experiencing dust or mud while playing outdoors, not at school. SDG4 challenges are best for solving together.
It is the first time we're focused so much on women's inclusion in local community development in Africa. We believe Rael will do the job well.
Roman Mazur - Floor4Africa Programme Director, on Ebola imported to Kenya and its side effects in local economy implying delay of our works.
