School Bridge Kibera

We've been cooperating with St. Juliet's School in Kibera slum in Nairobi for three years. Last year we built the cleanable concrete floor together. It was the most inclusive programme implementations we ever did. Now we are going to build the school bridge. It will let children reach the school everyday without any fear. It will let also all the local community reduce the number of injuries. And we'll focus on providing access to good work opportunity to the top local construction professionals based in Kibera. Total cost of this project is only about 16 500 EUR. It includes everything, from the metal frame and concrete entries, to the salaries of the local construction professionals in Kibera, disabled data researcher in the European Union and even VR-ready educational activities for African & European schools and universities of the third age. The bridge will be similar to the 12-metre-long one we already made in Kibera in 2023 (by the Joash Olum Highrise Primary School). All the process of construction is transparent and will be recorded for free access on YouTube. Credits will relate to all non-anonymous donors who supported us with 16.50 EUR or more. Final celebration will include open invitation for about 20 000 members of the local community, who use the pasage on a daily basis (incl. 4000 children attending all schools around the St. Juliet one).
